Notice and procedure for making claims of copyright or intellectual property infringement
gauk Media respects the intellectual property of other. If you believe that your work has been copied in a way that constitutes copyright infringement, or your intellectual property rights have been otherwise violated, please provide gauk Media’s Copyright Agent the following information:
a. an electronic or physical signature of the person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright or other intellectual property interest;
b. a description of the copyrighted work or other intellectual property that you claim has been infringed;
c. a description of where the material that you claim is infringing is located on the site;
d. your address, telephone number, and email address;
e. a statement by you that you have a good faith belief that the disputed use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law;
f. a statement by you, made under penalty of perjury, that the above information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright or intellectual property owner or authorized to act on the copyright or intellectual property owner’s behalf.
The Grid Content
The Grid is compiled from various sources by an army of volunteers and contributors. If you feel there is a publication of copyrighted material and that you are the owner and you have a concern we’d love to work with you to resolve the issue. We can either ensure there is a proper accreditation or simply remove the content for you.

gauk Media own and operate The grid, a free to use project and respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. It is Gauk media’s policy, in appropriate circumstances and at its discretion, to disable and/or terminate the accounts of contributors who repeatedly infringe or are repeatedly charged with infringing the copyrights or other intellectual property rights of others.
In accordance with our published practice, gauk Media will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement committed using the The Grid website that are reported to their Designated Copyright Agent.
If you are a copyright owner, or are authorized to act on behalf of one, or authorized to act under any exclusive right under copyright, please report alleged copyright infringements taking place on or through the Site by completing the following Notice of Alleged Infringement. Upon receipt of the Notice as described below, Gauk Media Ltd will take whatever action, in its sole discretion, it deems appropriate, including removal of the challenged material from the Site.
- 1. Identify the copyrighted work that you claim has been infringed, or – if multiple copyrighted works are covered by this Notice – you may provide a representative list of the copyrighted works that you claim have been infringed.
- 2. - 3. Provide your mailing address, telephone number, and, if available, email address.
- 4. Include both of the following statements in the body of the Notice:
- “I hereby state that I have a good faith belief that the disputed use of the copyrighted material or reference or link to such material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law (e.g., as a fair use).”
- “I hereby state that the information in this Notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that I am the owner, or authorized to act on behalf of the owner, of the copyright or of an exclusive right under the copyright that is allegedly infringed.”
- 5. Provide your full legal name and your electronic or physical signature.

This Website enables you and other users to submit content (‘user content’) that will be made available through the Website for the purpose of promoting New Zealand as a tourist destination.
